Mark joined Omnicom Media Group (OMG) to run PHD China in 2008.
Bringing PHD's positioning as a more strategic media agency
to the China market has proved successful and led to growth in both
business and reputation. PHD now count over 250 employees in
Shanghai and Beijing and are Greater China's current Media Agency
of the Year (Campaign) and 2011 Cannes Lions winners.
Over the years, Mark has worked in most disciplines in and
around media; TV buying, implementation planning, account
management, strategic planning and business science. He graduated
as a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Edinburgh and
joined the industry as a graduate trainee in London. He moved
to Australia in 2000 before coming to China in 2004 as the Head of
Planning for MindShare.
He has worked with many of the world's most famous companies
along the way including Unilever, HP, Nike, Standard Chartered
Bank, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, IBM, Nestle, Diageo, Kraft and
HSBC. He has previously been a judge for Festival of Media, Global
EFFIES, AMEs and the Media Federation of Australia awards.
