Raj Gupta
Regional Head of Planning APAC -
MEC
As the Regional Head of Planning of MEC APAC, Raj's key
responsibility is to provide upstream strategic thinking to clients
and enhance the strategic output of the agency across Asia-Pacific.
He is responsible for driving the understanding and usage of our
proprietary planning operating system, Navigator, and its suite of
planning tools, across MEC's diverse client base and offices.
Raj joined the agency in 2000 and has been involved in the
communication / channel strategy development for various clients
including Accenture, Citibank, Chanel, Colgate-Palmolive,
Campbell-Arnotts, Canon, Energizer-Schick, Mercedes-Benz, Singapore
Airlines, Sony-Ericsson, Sony and Star Alliance in Asia-Pacific and
Australia.
Prior to joining MEC, Raj served as Media Planner Buyer at
Mitchell Media. In this role, he handled media planning
responsibilities on numerous high profile Australian Federal
Government campaigns.
Raj has 12 ½ years of experience in the media industry-
the last 4 ½ years in a regional APAC role. He is a two time winner
of MFA Awards, a four time winner of MFA Awards Finalists
(Australia), a member of B&T Media Agency of the Year 2000,
2001 (MEC Australia) and a member of Media Magazine Media Agency of
the Year 2007 (MEC APAC).
Raj graduated from the University of New South Wales with a
Bachelor of Commerce (BComm (Finance/Marketing) in 1993. Also, he
graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor
of Law (LLB) in 1998.
